2025 Congressional Art Competition

March 20, 2025

GRAND JUNCTION, CO - Congressman Jeff Hurd (CO-03) is excited to announce that Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District will be participating in the 2025 Congressional Art Competition (CAC), an art competition for grades 9-12, including charter and home school students. This year's theme is Creative Rural Colorado.

“Western Colorado is home to beautiful public lands and incredible student creativity," said Rep. Hurd. “This competition encourages students to showcase their artistic skills, and the winner will have the opportunity to have their art displayed at our nation’s Capitol. We encourage all students from the Western Slope and Southern Colorado to participate in this competition and present their artistic abilities to represent our District.”

The 2025 Art Competition will run through April 23rd, 2025, and students can learn more on Representative Hurd’s website. The competition is open to all students who meet the eligibility requirements.

You can learn more about the competition on the Congressional Institute website, fill out the Student Release Form here, and you’re also encouraged to watch the inspiring video: “Celebrating the Congressional Art Competition.”

Congressman Hurd’s 2025 Congressional Art Competition is open to students in grades 9-12 who are residents of Colorado’s Third District, including home school and charter school students. Submissions need not be framed to be considered, but the winning artwork does require framing and must meet the dimension limits in the official rules.
