Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressmen Jeff Hurd (CO-03) and Joe Neguse (CO-02), who together represent Colorado’s Western Slope, issued the following statement after the Senate parliamentarian ruled Monday evening to remove provisions that sell off America’s public lands from the budget reconciliation bill currently making its way through Congress. The lawmakers represent rural and mountain communities across the state and continue to urge that a proposal along these lines be excluded from the final text.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The United States of America completed an attack on three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. Fordow, a primary nuclear site, was the main target. All planes are now outside of Iranian airspace and safely on their way home.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jeff Hurd (CO-03) introduced H.R.3901, the Jurisdictional Determination Backlog Reduction Act. This legislation requires the Secretary of the Army to work with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to allocate the necessary resources to eliminate the backlog of jurisdictional determinations and pending applications for Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404 dredge and fill permits.

Don Bacon (R-NE-02), Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ-05), and Gregory Meeks (D-NY-05) introduced bipartisan legislation to return Congress’ constitutionally authorized role in setting and approving U.S. trade policy. H.R.2665, The Trade Review Act of 2025, requires that unilateral tariffs proposed by the executive branch receive congressional authority.
