Rep. Jeff Hurd Secures Over $11 Million in Funding for Colorado’s Third District in FY26 Appropriations Bills

January 28, 2026

WASHINGTON – Rep. Jeff Hurd secured $11,007,000 in federal funding for thirteen projects across Colorado’s Third District throughout the FY26 Appropriations process. These bills provide critical resources for water infrastructure, rural healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and public safety departments. The funding addresses longstanding infrastructure and public safety needs in rural communities throughout the district.

“In rural Colorado, federal infrastructure funding often determines whether hospitals can expand services, water systems can operate safely, and first responders can obtain the equipment they need to protect lives and property,” said Rep. Hurd. “These are not abstract policy decisions—they directly impact the lives and livelihoods of families across our district. I committed to my constituents that I would focus on delivering practical results, and this funding does exactly that.”

The FY26 appropriations funding Rep. Hurd secured addresses priorities across multiple counties in Colorado’s Third District, including the following projects:

$2,000,000 for Mesa County E Road Phase III Project
$1,250,000 for the Norwood Redundant Water Line Project
